If you take your time you will discover an amazingly woven background by talking to random npcs :)Ħ) I enjoy the stories that are told. Sometimes cut scenes, but just a hand full. The story is told via dialogues, via comm screens, via your mission log. Nothing is perfect and there is so much other great stuff.ĥ) There is lots of text. But that is just a minor flaw of the game for me. I enjoy those missions but I wish there were more of them.

So it can keep you busy for longer than this 1-run week.Ĥ) There are just a hand full of missions where you explicitely have to make choices. The different factions allow you to play with different faction-missions and story-lines, including different ship types that might require a different gameplay approach. There are many missions and if you would try to do all missions available to you in one run, you might need a week with a decently sized daily game session. There are missions that feed into the main story line, others are detached side quests like "fetch me an egg from this dangerous creature, i want to study it". It really depends on how you want to play.

The discord server also has a channel for that.ģ) This is a well thought of question. The bots just got a big overhaul and are way more competent (and mostly work ok without much tweaking) now, but solo players often enjoy tweaking and optimizing their bots. Solo with bots is a different experience than multiplayer and i assume not too much unline startrek bridge crew. Normal questions are answered within minutes.Ģ) You can do their tasks for them. What does it look like in Pulsar: Lost Colony?:ġ) Assuming that I am a fan of the genre and read the instructions I will be able to play without seeking often help on boards then on video guide boards? / There is one place where all the most important video guides are collected?Ģ) What does solo game with bots look like? Can I just take over their tasks like in Star Trek Bridge Crew? Can I give them orders? Do they work wisely without programming?ģ) How long does one approach take? (How many missions does it consist of?) Do missions create coherent stories?Ĥ) Are there decisions or moral choices in the missions? What type?ĥ) How is the story told? Just text? Text + sound? Cutscenes?Ħ) How good is a story? How repeatable are random events?ħ) There are any interesing NPC in this game? (Except enemies?).ġ) There is a wiki where you can find info, but if you ask in the big inofficial discord server you WILL find someone there to answer it for you in a reasonable time frame that depends on how occult your question is.

In space simulators, the most important for me are 2 issues of intuitiveness and history. However, I decided to create a new one, because I'm interested not so much whether it can be played, but whether it is worth playing like that.

Another of topic is it possible to play single player.
